This is a short page about how to use the tracker!
Upon powering on, the screen should light momentarily and then switch off. During power-up, DO NOT HOLD THE TRACKER. Lay it down.
A short while later, after the software has loaded the Weyland-Yutani Corp logo will appear. While this is being displayed, the accelerometer is being calibrated. If you move the tracker or are holding it during this time then the screen will drift and rotate on its own.
Once this screen disappears and the tracker screen appears you can pick it up and use it.
To prevent damage to the file system the Pi needs powering down properly. To do this, turn the volume control into it's silent position and verify this by pressing and holding the trigger.
Next, slide the sensitivity control to the left, and then to the right, waiting 1 second between each movement. Repeat this action and you should see a darker area being drawn on the display at the bottom.
When this has been performed enough times, the Weyland-Yutani Corp logo will re-appear and then fade out. At this point the display will turn back off again.
When finally the display turns back on and look totally white, count to 5 (just for safety) and turn off the power.
The tracker works best if you hold your hand very still. This is just a side effect of how radars work, and whilst the code does compensate for this, waving the tracker around will most movements from being detected.
The alternative to this would have been literally the entire room being detected when you wave it around!
Don't worry about the odd false detection, the sensitivity control will help with this, but it does add to the fun. Remember, this is a toy!
